Make a difference by Volunteering

K-9 Lifesavers is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing abandoned dogs and puppies and finding them loving homes. Our success relies on the kindness and generosity of our community. We are always in need of help with fostering, adoption coordinators and event volunteers to ensure our dogs receive the care they deserve.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these dogs and help them find their forever families.

    Adoption Coordinators

Our “ACs” are the face of K-9 Lifesavers. They are responsible for screening applications, preparing animals for adoption by coordinating which events dogs need to attend, supporting potential adopters, and supporting newly adopted dogs and families through their transition into their forever homes.

    Fosters

Our fosters provide love and support a dog needs in order to acclimate to life in a new home. Fosters are generally responsible for the cost of food and any dog walking expenses.

Fosters also play a critical role in the adoption process. Because they know the dogs well, they are in the best position to help decide what potential forever home is appropriate.
